A new hospitality area was created on the existing premises of the temple of Jokyoji. Our challenge was to formulate a way to present its cultural and historical heritage as a unique form of art. The guests can rediscover the site by walking through contemporary interpretations of traditional elements such as calligraphy, re-arrangement of local architectural details, and restructured old wooden storage box with steel.
