ICA was in charge of design development, detail design, fabrication, and the construction of several interior elements of AIDAprima, the flagship brand of AIDA Cruises built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. The scope of work includes an acrylic water pillar of 6 meters (19 feet) in height for the Spray Bar by Moët & Chandon, the polygon-shaped pink acrylic tree for the Nachtclub Nightfly, a set of 40 pieces of LED pillars with lights that synchronize with music, a pair of sphere-shaped speakers with hand-made mosaic tiles for Diskothek D6, etc. The project boldly applied advanced digital fabrication to craftsmanship as an advanced form of art.
