The Mitsui Garden Hotel Jingu Gaien Tokyo Premier is surrounded by the outer gardens of the Meiji Shrine and the Shinjuku Imperial Garden. With the influence of the history of the site where the 1930’s ‘Jingu pool’ once was, this project took on the challenge of reusing the remains of the historical pool as material and as the narrative for the art project.
