In October 2024, the large-scale mixed-use facility “NAGASAKI STADIUM CITY” opened near JR Nagasaki Station. Within this iconic new landmark symbolizing Nagasaki, the “STADIUM CITY HOTEL NAGASAKI” was unveiled. It is the first hotel in Japan to offer breathtaking views from inside a soccer stadium.
Interculture Art Inc. was responsible for consulting, creating, and installing the artworks that adorn the hotel’s interior spaces. Drawing inspiration from the dynamic energy of sports and the passion it evokes, as well as from Nagasaki’s rich history as Japan’s gateway to the world, the artworks reflect a refined aesthetic influenced by the region’s unique culture and picturesque landscapes.
